Weltings & Pipings
A round covered cord with a lip that is sewn in a seam to finish the product.

Slashed / Notched - Perpendicular cuts on the lip to help the trim turn radius
Pinked / Serrated - Material is cut and removed allowing trim to turn sharp radius
Staggered Lip - Saves material and helps eliminate shadowing. They can have various size soft and/or hard cords that are made out of poly-foam, plastic, paper and string, various fancy stitches, two-way release tapes, and perf-underlay treatments can be applied.
